I miei “giochi” di photo-collage fanno incontrare e dialogare il mondo dell’arte con il mio mondo della fotografia, ripescando immagini legate ad emozioni raccolte in tempi anche lontani: emozioni suscitate da geometrie, tessiture e colori di paesaggi come quelli delle colline della mia infanzia, emozioni da opere dai mondi dell’arte che più amo: quello medioevale, quello bizantino, quello giapponese del periodo Edo, quello della ceramica, e quello di tante sculture del 900.
Scompongo opere da quei mondi, strappo e prendo possesso di loro dettagli che rileggo, cortorcircuito e ricompongo. Costruisco così trame che intrecciano dimensioni artistiche con dimensioni naturalistiche, la realtà con la finzione, il presente con il passato. Trame che fanno nascere nuove visioni “fuori dal tempo”. Questo è il mio “gioco dei frammenti”.
Sono dialoghi e montaggi il cui approccio intende anche contribuire ad aprire alla fotografia spazi nuovi nel mondo del mercato dell’arte.
Le mie composizioni passano poi ad una stampa Fine Art (con tiratura massima di cinque o dieci copie) su una tela Polycotton Canvas Matt o su una carta-cotone Epson Enhanced Matte Paper. Le dimensioni lineari delle stampe possono raggiungere anche i 200 cm.
My photo-collage “games” bring together and dialogue between the world of art and my world of photography, retrieving images linked to emotions collected even in distant times: emotions aroused by geometries, textures, and colors of landscapes such as those of the hills of my childhood, emotions from works from the art worlds that I love most: the medieval one, the Byzantine one, the Japanese one of the Edo period, the one of ceramics, and that of many sculptures of the 20th century.
I dismantle works from those worlds, I tear away and take possession of their details that I reread, short-circuit, and recompose. I thus construct plots that intertwine artistic dimensions with naturalistic dimensions, reality with fiction, and the present with the past. Plots that give birth to new visions “out of time”. This is my “fragment game”.
They are dialogues and montages whose approach also intends to contribute to opening up new spaces for photography in the world of the art market.
My compositions then move on to a Fine Art print (with a maximum print run of five or ten copies) on a Polycotton Canvas Matt canvas or on an Epson Enhanced Matte Paper-cotton paper. The linear dimensions of the prints can reach up to 200 cm.
